Modern Hamptons
This knockdown rebuild designed by Mont-Eltham is set in the heart of Greensborough, with a modern take on the Hamptons. It mixes both modern contemporary with the unique Hamptons style. While the front half of the new house represents the Hamptons, the rear of the house is full contemporary.
This project features the traditional Hamptons-style façade, double-hung timber windows, traditional architraves and skirting boards and corniced ceilings, while the rear of the home boosts timber feature ceilings, larger open windows, EzyJamb reveals, and karndean vinyl flooring.
Designed to take in the maximum amount of natural light as possible, the rear living area has large aluminium windows and three large Velux skylights. This home also has a solid fuel fire in the front, traditional part of the home and a gas log fire place at the rear.
